Returns Policy


Orders received before 3pm AEST will endeavor to ship that day. Orders received after will be shipped next day.

Refunds and Returns

Should you wish to make a return, refund or exchange, bring or post the product/s in store with your proof of purchase and if necessary a note or relevant information to assist our staff in best serving you. To qualify for the return, the product must be returned to us within 30 days of the dispatch date and in its original undamaged packaging, including all accessories. To ensure the process is as easy as possible, please provide the following:

  1. Present your proof of purchase (Receipt, Bank Statement, Photograph of your receipt or online tax invoice). If you cannot find this information please contact us.
  2. The product/s should be in original condition and packaging (including manuals and accessories).
  3. Return postage is at customers expense and will not be refunded.

Exchange of goods policy

Head to the Contact Us section of our website and send us an email regarding your return/exchange query, then wait for our instructions before returning any goods.

If you wish to return a product and exchange it for another item, we will offer a store credit (available to use 48 hours after the return has been received) this allows us time to confirm the product is returned in an “as new” saleable condition and to process the store credit onto your account.

Refunds policy

Head to the Contact Us section of our website and send us an email regarding your return/exchange query, then wait for our instructions before returning any goods.

Items returned due to change of mind will incur a 10% restocking if returned in the original packaging, and a 30% restocking fee applies for items returned without the original packaging or accessories.

 Important information applicable to our Exchange and Refund of goods policies

  • We do not accept returns or exchanges of goods after 30 days from the date goods are received.
  • Our Exchange and refund policies are subject to the goods being returned at your expense in an as-shipped, saleable condition including, original packaging. The packaging must be in a re-saleable condition. 
  • The refund will be calculated as the purchase price of the product only, less shipping and any re-stocking fee and paid in the same way as the original payment.
  • Some products, including anything custom-made, special order in items and products bought in large quantities may not be returnable unless a warranty or guarantee is breached. Our returns policy is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or Consumer Guarantees Act (NZ).
  • We do not refund the original outgoing or the return costs of freight on any returned or exchanged item.

The 12 Volt Shop Pty Ltd reserves the right not to accept return of goods when they are:

  • Specifically manufactured at the customers request (i.e. custom made).

  • Specially ordered in on the customers behalf (i.e. Indent products).

  • Large quantity orders that may have already been covered by 12VS with replacement orders with our principles. (i.e. Non-Cancellable order types).

  • Goods that have been in the customer’s possession for a reasonable time & are requested by the customer to be returned to us after such time has elapsed that the goods are out of warranty, near or past their expiry date. Goods that have been damaged or had packaging damaged or removed. Warranty is conditional in accordance with manufacturer’s parameters & guidelines.

AfterPay, Zip Pay and Buy Now Pay Later Services

We do not currently offer these services directly, however Zip do offer single-use credit card through their app that does allow you to purchase now and pay over time.
